The Instructional Design Team provides support for faculty and staff in their efforts to offer a quality educational experience to students. The team focuses on providing guidance to faculty in the development of teaching and learning strategies and specialized applications utilizing instructional technologies. However, their skills are wide-ranging, and they welcome opportunities to work with faculty to help solve various academic challenges.
This is a short list of the main categories of IDT's focus:
- WebCampus (WebCT Campus Edition 6) course administration and faculty support
- Workshops to promote effective use of instructional technologies
- Support, through small group and individual faculty consulting, in course design and in the implementation of appropriate teaching and learning technologies
- Specialized support for applications such as Voice Tools, Live Classroom, Personal Response Systems (clickers), Dreamweaver, PowerPoint and Photoshop
- Presentations regarding topics related to instructional design and technologies
