Jill WallaceJill Wallace, Ph.D.

Jill has been an Instructional Designer at UNR since 1999. She is UNR's WebCampus Support Manager and has been a Certified WebCT Trainer since 2003. After retiring from teaching high school mathematics, Jill began teaching an online high school computational science course in 1997 and taught online teaching professional development courses for UCLA Extension from 1998 to 2006. Jill is interested in a wide variety of instructional technologies, but one of her favorite areas of research is best practices in the facilitation of communication, interaction, and collaboration in the online classroom.

 

Diann LaingDiann Laing, Ph.D.

Diann has been with UNR since 1986 and serves as a member of the Instructional Design team. In the "early" years, Diann worked extensively in the Distance Education effort and assisted with audio and video delivery of classes across the state. She was one of the early users of WebCT on the UNR campus and has participated as part of the team in teaching introductory WebCT classes since 1999. Diann also teaches web page design (using Dreamweaver) and Photoshop classes. Her specialty is helping faculty create effective web site navigation and an engaging user interface.

 

Alina VincentAlina Solovyova-Vincent, M.S.

Alina has joined the Instructional Design Team in 2005. Prior to that she taught a variety of UNR courses in physics, computer science and college teaching.  Alina is a Certified WebCampus Trainer and has over seven years of experience using WebCampus.  She would be happy to share her expertise and knowledge with you. She also teaches workshops on Photoshop, PowerPoint, Clickers (Personal Response Systems), Wimba Voice tools and Windows Media Encoder.  Alina really enjoys finding new ways instructional technology can be used to enhance student learning.

 

Juli PetereitJuli Petereit

Juli has been with the Instructional Design team since the summer of 2005, performing the tasks of course administration and WebCampus support. She will graduate with a degree in mathematics in the spring of 2008, but will continue to work for us through her graduate work.
