Trouble Using WebCampus:

Please note that the WebCampus server is taken offline EVERY Friday evening, from approximately 7 pm until 10 pm for regular maintenance and upgrades.

If you are having trouble using WebCampus other than login problems, there may be a problem with your browser or other software on your computer. First, check and configure your browser using the Browser Tune-Up. (We are currently using Application Pack 1 for CE 6.) The CE 6 login page has a [Check Browser] link that provides a check of your browser settings and plugins with links to relevant sections of the Browser Tune-Up page. We also recommend that you follow the steps outlined in the document Preparing Your Computer for CE 6.

Then, read the following tips and troubleshooting information.

If you are having a problem using any of the tools in CE 6, the problem is most likely due to the version of Java that you are using. To check the version of Java you are currently running, go to the http://webct6.unr.edu page and click on the [Check Browser] button. If you fail the Java test or even if you pass the test but have a version of Java other than Update 7:

If CE 6 seems to running slower than normal, then deleting Temporary Internet files in your browser may resolve the issue. In Internet Explorer, you can delete Temporary Internet files by selecting Internet Options from the Tools menu and then by click on [Delete Files] in the Temporary Internet files section on the General tab.

Reporting Errors:

If you continue to have problems with WebCT, after doing a browser tune-up and checking the troubleshooting information, please submit an error report and you will receive follow-up regarding the problem.
