Faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno began using the course management system WebCT in the fall of 1999. Using WebCT allows UNR faculty to efficiently leverage campus resources to both extend offerings and enhance the teaching and learning experience. For example, one of the many benefits of using WebCT includes the ability to offer an "always on" environment, providing more time for the student to interact with professors and classmates as well as with the course material in an efficient, engaging and effective manner.
If you would like to request a WebCT course account for an academic course, a non-academic course, a demo course, or a practice course, please fill out and submit the WebCT Course Request Form. (Please note that you must be the course instructor of record in SIS to request a WebCT account for an academic course.) Although there will be instances when your WebCT course will be created on the same day that you submit the request form, we ask that you allow us 3-5 weekdays to process your request during peak times.
