The Excellence in Teaching Program, the Core Curriculum Office, and the Graduate Student Association are pleased to announce the nineteenth annual Distinguished Teaching Assistant (DTA) awards.
Awards 2007 will have two competitive categories: Liberal Arts and Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Five graduate students in each category (one Distinguished TA and four Outstanding TAs) will each receive a plaque and a cash prize.
The selection committee may also make additional awards, including certificates of recognition. ETP, Core Curriculum, and GSA will recognize all the recipients during Graduate Student Awareness Week in April. The University will recognize the two Distinguished TA awardees at the “Honor the Best” ceremony in May. The sponsors will also host a special reception for all awardees and their invited guests.
